IT'S ABOUT TIME

The influence of relationship satisfaction in first responder marriages is directly connected to their mental, physical, and spiritual health, so isn't it about time we offered more ways for the spouses of first responders to be supported, better educated, and more involved?

EXCLUSIVE PROGRAMS FOR SPOUSES OF FIRST RESPONDERS

There is a massive amount of credible research showing a direct connection between the quality of mental health in first responders to the quality of their marriages; in fact, the research of both first responders and combat veterans shows this connection to be cross-supporting, meaning that the better the mental health, the better the marriage, and the better the marriage, the better the mental health. So why aren't we doing more to better educate them on how the first responder's job effects the brain, the nervous system, their resiliency against issues like addiction and suicide, and what specifically spouses can do with this information to help them?

We believe it's about time we did just that, so we created a program specifically for the spouses of first responders in order to achieve a mission of 3 PRIMARY GOALS:

OUR THREE-FOLD MISSION:

SUPPORTING OTHER SPOUSES

Providing a way for spouses of first responders to support each other through a networking bond goes a long way to improving their marriage and family.

BECOMING EDUCATED

It's high time we stopped leaving spouses in the dark when it comes to the effect of the job, its influence on the marriage, and how they can use this information to help.

CHANGING THE CULTURE

If better marriages = better mental health for first responders, then we can influence the entire culture through better involvement of their spouses.

  • Wellness Training

The spouses of first responders are long overdue an education on how the job can effect their partner and spill over into the marriage and family. We provide some of the same wellness training to spouses that we do first responder peer support teams.

  • Marital Resiliency

Developing marital resiliency isn't just about getting through tough challenges; it's about benefitting from the endurance--growing stronger in the marriage due to adversity, rather than simply making it.

  • Financial Health

Finances are a common topic in any marriage, but first responder couples may not be getting access to the advice they need. We host financial speakers who can answer questions and offer specific guidance.

  • Intervention Skills

How many chances do spouses get to learn intervention skills with regard to suicide and addiction? We believe this is one of the most important trainings they can receive and their influence as a spouse gives them a huge advantage if they know the simple steps to plant seeds of intervention.

  • Social Support

How many chances do spouses get to meet other spouses to network and support each other, while having a relaxing and fun social experience? We are happy to oblige and promise a social support platform like nothing you will experience on social media.
